Hope Rice |
Hope is excited to bring over fifteen years of experience in Human Resources to the board. Her years of experience include working on a large department store merge, the process of a plant closure and a call center start up. Hope's love for this community was highlighted when she served as the 2013 Class President of the Leadership Academy. 2014 was an exciting year for her as she obtained her PHR! Hope's varied experience has taught her that change will occur with every tomorrow. Knowing this, she will focus on bringing fresh topics and ideas to the members to help with the daily struggles of Human Resources. |

Jeannie Seery |
With 18 years of experience in human resources and organizational development, Jeannie leads with purpose, empathy, and a steadfast commitment to people — not just policies. As Human Resources Director at Sheehan Brothers Vending, Jeannie focuses on building and sustaining a positive company culture, where employees feel valued, heard, and motivated to bring their best selves to work. Her approach is grounded in empathy, listening, and servant leadership. She believes that strong relationships and open communication lay the foundation for high performance, engagement, and innovation. Jeannie strives to empower teams through coaching, development, fair practices, and recognition, always aligning HR strategy with business goals. Beyond her professional life, she is a proud mother of three and a devoted spouse. Her roles as a wife and mother inform her leadership — reminding her daily of patience, flexibility, balance, and advocacy. In the community, she contributes as a leader and volunteer, believing wholeheartedly in giving back, mentoring others, and forging strong connections. |

Amy Donahoe |
Amy Donahoe has served as the Director of Workforce Development at the Greater Springfield Partnership since 2008. She works closely with workforce development and economic development partners in Clark County and the entire region, and focuses on the growth and retention of local businesses. Amy has partnered on a number of community workforce initiatives with target populations ranging from 8th grade students thru adults, including the organization of large regional job fairs each year. She has worked in the Clark County community for over 20 years. Amy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a concentration in Human Resources from Bowling Green State University in 1999. She is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Clark County (LCC), and served on the LCC board of directors for 6 years post-graduation. In 2016, Amy was selected for the Education & Training Division Fellowship program via the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). Amy is a past president of the Springfield Human Resource Management Association (SHRMA), and currently serves as the Membership Chair on the SHRMA Advisory Board. Amy and her husband served as co-chairs for the local United Way campaign in 2015 and 2016, and she was asked to join the Board of United Way of Clark, Champaign & Madison Counties in 2017, where she currently serves as Board President. Carey Cooper Secretary

Carey Cooper is the Business Partner for Physicians at Dayton Children’s Hospital. She leads the daily administration and communication of multiple HR programs including compensation and benefits with a focus on customer service, legal compliance and accuracy. As SHRMA’s President she is responsible for the advice and guidance of Board and Member activities. She is also a general member of SHRM’s State Council. Carey is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace University with a degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. She is thankful for her wonderful husband, Michael, who convinced her to move from Cleveland to Springfield over 10 years ago. The couple has three small children who enjoy traveling and attending concerts, cultural and sporting events all over Ohio.

Kara Williams |
Kara is the HR Manager at Rose City Manufacturing which is one of four Springfield McGregor Metalworking Companies. She is a graduate of The University of Findlay where she majored in Business Management and Human Resource Management and was also a member of the women's volleyball team. Kara received her PHR in 2008. Kara and her husband live on a small farm at the edge of Clark County with their 3 small children.

Lynn Geist College Relations Chair |
Lynn Geist is an Associate Professor of Human Resources in the School of Business and Applied Technologies at Clark State College where she has taught since 2004. She has over 30 years of combined teaching and professional working experience in HR. Lynn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Cedarville University and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Training and Development along with a graduate specialization in Human Resource Management. She is a certified facilitator of DDI Learning Systems and is a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through the Human Resource Certification Institute. She is an active SHRM member and currently serves as the College Relations Director for Ohio SHRM State Council.

Savannah Justus has been a Director of People & Culture at Konecranes for over two years. However, she has more than 17 years of experience in human resources and expertise in manufacturing and non-profit organizations. She was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, and earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bowling Green State University. |

Shannon Wahl |
Shannon is a partner with the law firm of Martin, Browne, Hull & Harper in Springfield, and is an OSBA Certified Specialist in Labor & Employment Law. Her primary practice areas include employment and labor law and civil defense litigation. Shannon regularly assists clients with a variety of HR-related legal issues including ADA, FMLA, and FLSA compliance; policy development; discipline and discharge; discrimination/harassment; workplace investigations; unemployment; labor relations; employee relations; and similar workplace matters. Shannon has been involved with SHRMA for over 20 years and currently serves as the chapter’s Legislative Chair. Shannon has a B.A. from Wittenberg Universityand a J.D. from Capital University Law School with a concentration in Labor and Employment Law. Her legal practice follows 15 years of experience in Human Resource Management and related fields.  When she is not working, Shannon enjoys ballroom dancing and spending time with friends and family. |
