Lehan Peters | |

Lehan is the deputy director of WorkForce Development, a division of Job and Family Services of Clark County. She joined the department in 2005 as director of the WorkPlus One-Stop Center and was promoted to deputy director in 2007.
Previous work experience includes sixteen years at Wittenberg University in the Office of Advancement/Annual Fund. Promoted in 2003 as Director of the Wittenberg Fund, Lehan was responsible for raising two million dollars a year for the university’s general fund. Prior to Wittenberg, she worked for the Credit Life Insurance company located in Springfield. Lehan ended her career in 1989 as division manager for premium processing.
Lehan received her B.A. in Education from Wittenberg University and earned a Global Career/Workforce Development certification in 2010 She is a 2006 graduate of the Springfield Leadership Academy, president for the Springfield chapter of SHRM(Society of Human Resource Management) a member of the Ohio State Council of SHRM and serves on the board of directors for McKinley Hall, Center City Association and the Wittenberg Guild Executive Committee.
Lehan is a life-long resident of Springfield and is married to her husband, Rick. She has two married children, two labs and a cat. Lehan enjoys traveling with her card club and vacationing at Holden Beach, NC.

Beatrice (Bea) Smith has been a member of SHRMA for many years serving various positions on the SHRMA Board. Her current position as President makes her responsible for overseeing all the activities of the Chapter. Bea’s focus for SHRMA is to provide opportunities for SHRMA members to increase their professional knowledge and opportunities for education credits by providing knowledgeable speakers who will bring valuable information the SHRMA membership can use immediately. |

Amanda Martin is the Human Resource and Business Manager at Avetec, a nonprofit research company in Springfield. Her current position with SHRMA as Vice President makes her responsible for assisting with the advice and guidance of Board and Member activities. She is a lifelong resident of Clark county and enjoys supporting the efforts of community organizations such as Leadership Clark County and the Springfield Chamber of Commerce. Amanda is a graduate of Urbana University with a BS in Business Management and received her PHR certification in 2008.

Jacky is the HR Specialist at Gordon Food Service. Over her 13 years with the company, she has held several roles, having been in the HR field for the last five years. She earned her Professional of Human Resources certification in 2006 and has been a SHRMA member for five years.

Membership Chair

Amy is a hiring coordinator for OIC of Clark County. Her primary focus is working with local companies to help them retain and attract talented employees, and working closely with the local economic development team in attracting new businesses to the Springfield/Clark County area. She takes pride in being involved in various community groups and activities such as SHRMA, The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Group, Leadership Clark County and the local United Way. Amy is a Bowling Green State University. Amy is a past president of SHRMA, and currently serves as the Membership Chair on the SHRMA Advisory Board. Her job is to increase SHRMA’s membership and assist current and perspective members in learning more about how SHRMA is a benefit to both the member and his or her company. Diversity Chair

Heather is in her eleventh year working for Gordon Food Service as a Senior HR Generalist. She has worked in the HR field for the last fifteen years and has twenty years experience in management and training. She has been certified as a HR professional since 2000.
Along with sitting on the board for SHRMA as Diversity Chair, she is also involved in the Ohio State HR Conference Committee. This year, Heather will serve as the Assistant Program Chair for the state conference. She has also been active in Junior Achievement and the Greene County Historical Society.
Heather holds a BA in History/Art History from Edinboro University of PA. She resides in Yellow Springs with her husband and daughters.

SHRMA Community/External Relations Chair

Rita Sneed is co-owner of ARC Staffing Solutions, a full service staffing agency serving Springfield and surrounding counties. Rita has over 20 years of experience in the staffing industry. As VP of Sales, her primary focus at ARC Staffing is the development of new sales and building strong partnerships with her customers. Rita is a life long resident of Springfield and has been involved with SHRMA for many years. Her current board position is that of Community/External Relations Chair. She serves as the liaison with the Chamber of Commerce, business organizations, business news writers, and other community groups. She will also recommend community projects to be supported by our chapter and will make chapter members aware of community organizations that would be beneficial to HR professionals. Rita also enjoys serving as an Ambassador for the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Junior Achievement Board.

Marketing and Public Relations Chair

This is Teresa's first year sitting on the board for SHRMA. She is excited to be contributing as the Marketing and Public Relations Chair, taking responsibility of updating the website and creating and distributing the quarterly newsletter. Teresa is a recruiter for Gordon Food Service and has been there for 3 years. She holds a BA in Business Management from Wright State University. She is a native of Clark County and currently lives in Springfield with her husband and two dogs. Contributions to the website by SHRMA members are welcomed and encouraged.
